Dear Parents

The Y6 children have had a fantastic attitude to their SATs this week.  It was lovely to see them relaxed and chatting at the breakfast prepared by staff before the start of each day.  When they started the test papers they were completely focused and used their strategies methodically.  They really know how to learn and I thought what great employees they will make one day.

They have been auditioning for their parts in Annie this morning – I can’t wait to see the children in character.  Next week Katie Bunting is in from the Limelight Dance School to direct the children, she always works her magic creating a top performance.

The ‘Friends’ have organised Pino (our favourite Ice-cream man) to bring them a special treat this afternoon.  Well done children and everyone who has supported them and thank you Pino and Friends.

Parking

A local resident sent a picture of a car belonging to a parent that was parked over two driveways.  This has been forwarded to the police as the parent was rude and refused to move.  Please show consideration to our neighbours, set off early and park with care.  Thank you to the majority who always park appropriately or walk to school.

Themed lunch

Thank you to Jason and the team for providing a ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ themed lunch for the children.  Golden tickets appeared during lunch time and a few lucky children won special treats.  I did have to sample the ‘Rocky Road’ to check that it was up to standard – it definitely passed the test.

Sun hats

Please make sure the children are prepared for the sunshine with their hats, water bottles and apply some sun cream before school if appropriate.  Thank you.
