Dear Parents

Police!

I was concerned when three police cars pulled up in the car park this week with their lights flashing!  However, it turns out that the Reception classes were investigating a crime scene with the help of three friendly policemen.  This linked to their learning about people in the community and also to the ‘Take One Picture’ National Gallery picture to people who look after us.  You can find some pictures on Twitter.

Parent Governor Applications

We have met several potential governors this week at the drop-in sessions.  If you missed the sessions, feel free to contact us for information about the role and if you would like any questions answered.   If you would like to support our school in this important role please apply by next Tuesday 12th October.

Helpful Children

Jason, our chef was very impressed with Elijah and Lua in Y5 who helped put away the tables after the family breakfasts this morning.  Thank you, children.

School Meal Supplies

Please be aware that due to the national fuel shortage and availability of lorry drivers we are starting to experience late supplies of food for the school dinners.  This morning the fish fingers arrived just in time, however, Jason’s back up plan was to make pasta. We wanted you to understand that there could be a last-minute change of menu but Jason will of course ensure that it is appropriate for each child in terms of allergies.

Secondary School Preferences

This is a reminder to parents of Y6 children that the closing date for Secondary School places is on the 31st October at 5pm.  Growing up so fast!
