Dear Parents

It’s been a lovely week back and good to see the children on the field in the sunshine at lunchtimes.

Termly Learning Conferences

The Termly Learning Conferences have gone well and it’s been lovely to see the children sharing their learning and ways forward with their parents.  It’s great to see how confident, thoughtful and knowledgeable the children are becoming.  Now that we are using the electronic booking system it's important that you stick to the times as there is no flexibility for late comers now and those people will need to book a new appointment at a separate time, thank you.

Cycle Pathway Consultation

I know several of you went into the cycle pathway consultation for the Abington area in the hall on the evening of Thursday 20th April and were able to ask your questions.  It will be good to have cycle ways leading right up to school and it’s reassuring that so many people with their local knowledge have had the opportunity to contribute to make it as safe as possible.

Code Breaking

Charlie and Mrs O’Hanlon have just returned with a very excited group of children from Year 1,2 and 3 who have been code breaking at the Cube Competition. They absolutely loved solving the problems as a group.

Smart Watches

Children can not wear smart watches in school because they are connected to phones and could be a safeguarding issue. They are also very expensive if they get lost or damaged and a distraction in school.

Year 5 Swimming

Year 5 swimming will start next Thursday at the excellent facilities at NSB so don’t forget your swimming kit Year 5 and a towel!

Have a lovely weekend.
