Dear Parents

Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA)

As a school, we are taking part in the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA). This builds on our strong relationships with parents and celebrates all that we do to support our families. We are in the process of gathering information for the award. You may have noticed the parent surveys that were put out for the TLC's this week; we received some lovely feedback so thank you for your kind words. We are going to share some of the highlights and how we are working on them on the digital display board so keep an eye out for this.

SEND Coffee Morning

This Tuesday, 6th May there will be a SEND coffee morning where Mrs Wise will be discussing Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Personal, Social, Health Education (PSHE).

There is also a date for everyone to ‘drop in’ if you have any RSE questions on Thursday 15th May after school between 3.15- 3.45pm in the studio in Ignite.

Termly Learning Conferences (TLCs)

It was great to see the children sharing their learning confidently at the Termly Learning Conferences this week.  Lots of smiling faces ?

Monday Assembly

The choir sang two lovely songs on Monday in assembly and Mrs Hallett gave out the very well-deserved science awards from the competition we held in Science Week. The award winner’s ideas were exceptional and inspired the whole school.

Sun Safety

Now the weather is warmer please check the following link which will take you to the sun safety area on the school website clarifying the policy for applying sun lotion, wearing sunhats and supplying a fresh water bottle. Bridgewater Primary School. - Sun Safety

Upper Key Stage 2 Girls

Can you check that the girls summer skirts aren’t too short please and also some of the shorts for PE are too short to take part in sports comfortably. I hope they enjoy wearing their fashion items at the weekends.

Small Reminders

No earrings in school or they are to be covered with tape if they are recently pierced. No big key rings with soft toys attached in Key Stage 1 because the children can’t close their trays! Don’t forget to label all school clothing with names this weekend please if you haven’t done so already. Thank you for your support.

Year 3 Multisport Event

Some Year 3 children enjoyed the experience of taking part in a Multi-Sports event at Northampton School for Girls this week run by their Young Leaders. They took part in diamond cricket and parachute and well done to Millie-Amal who received a certificate for showing respect.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend

Alison Harvey
