Dear Parents

Summer Fair

It’s here at last … The Bridgewater Summer Fair is tomorrow, Saturday 2nd July starting at 1pm until 4pm.  Everyone is very welcome to come along with their families for all the fun and games.  Thank you to the Friends and the team of volunteers who have made this possible.

Mufti

Thank you to everyone for coming in MUFTI today and bringing your donations for the Summer Fair.

Urgent

Please be aware that yesterday a man was seen by a child crouching behind a bush acting suspiciously in the Milverton Crescent Park.  When you collect the children can you talk to them about keeping themselves safe and make sure the older children are walking straight home in a small group. If you do see anything please alert the police straight away but can you also let the school office know so that we can alert other parents.  We will have talked to the children today about keeping themselves safe.

Whole School Transition Day – Tuesday 5th July

The teachers are all looking forward to meeting the children in their new classes next week and doing some activities with them and getting them ready for next year. More information will follow later today via ParentMail.

Year 3 Tag Rugby Skills

Year 3 have visited the Cinch Stadium at Franklin Gardens today to attend a Rugby Skills Workshop. They all looked very excited as they left school this morning and will have the opportunity to do TAG Rugby sessions on the training pitches and I am sure will have a lot of fun.

Staff Update

Miss Conroy is moving on after starting her teaching career here with us at Bridgewater six years ago! She has grown in to a successful leader and we wish her well for the future.

Miss Baxter is also moving on to a local school and we thank her for leading PE this year, including a fantastic sports day.

Miss Gillett and Miss Stagg, who started as teaching assistants and moved to the Higher Level Teaching Assistant role have now successfully completed their teacher training at Bridgewater and have secured positions in new schools.   Mr Howard and Miss Tsang who also started as TAs and HLTAs also have the exciting opportunity to complete their teacher training at Bridgewater supported by our experienced staff next year.

We are looking forward to the return of Mrs Range and Mrs Wooder after they both had delightful additions to their families.  We are also very pleased that Mr Kennedy will be returning to the team as a HLTA alongside trouble shooting any IT blips across the school and we welcome Miss Bibi in Y1 and Miss Adnett in Y3 next year.

Have a great weekend and hopefully we will see you tomorrow in the sunshine … fingers crossed.

Mrs Alison Harvey
