Dear Parents
Northampton Town Carnival
This Saturday is the Northampton Town Carnival and Bridgewater is taking part with our ‘Jubilation’ themed lorry. The children have made all the colourful decorations and I’m sure it will look amazing. Please come along and support the Carnival and our children on our float. It has been a privilege to take part over the years and be a small part in a big community event where we get caught up in the music, dancing and excitement. We have attached the route for the Carnival to the Newsletter that has been sent via ParentMail.
Summer Fair Volunteers
The Friends are busy organising the Bridgewater Summer Fair taking place on Saturday 2nd July. The Friends need more helpers whether it’s an hour, setting up or the full afternoon. If you can volunteer some time it would be very much appreciated.
Mobile Phones
This is a reminder that mobile phones should not be used on site to ensure our children and families are safeguarded in accordance with our policy.
Sports Day
The children have been practising and looking forward to the sports days next week. You have had information via ParentMail with all the timings that you can refer to.
Y5 Book Club
Mrs Washington runs a Year 5 Book Club and they have had a really good idea! The children would like to gather some books together and put them in a waterproof box in the outside classroom so that children who love to read can do so at lunchtime. They would be grateful for any donations of books if you have one that is pre-loved but in good condition. Any books that you think might be suitable that they could add to the collection will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, children for spreading the joy of reading and creating this reading box for lunchtimes.
Have a good weekend and it would be lovely if you gave us a wave at the Carnival if you’re in town and you can watch the flamboyant procession.
