Super Sculptures

I was in Y6 this morning and a box of tangled wire caught my eye.  I tried to untangle some and the children helped me.  One by one we rescued beautiful little sculptures, intricately woven into little characters.  They spark your imagination and have been crafted by Y6 with great skill using pliers to cut and bend the wire.  They were inspired by the clockmaker students in their text, ‘Clockwork’.

Later on this morning I was in Early Years where Elliot and Fife found me and gave me their sculptures for my room.  I was delighted and told them I would loan them until they leave at the end of the year.  Both sculptures are standing on my windowsill holding brightly coloured balloons.  They look so real as If they are best friends having a good conversation;  I wonder what they’re discussing?
