Amazing Authors

I had lunch with some Y4 boys today, including Allister who told me he had written a book with Reggie which was in the library. I went to find it after dinner and was amazed to find two books by them and a book written by Liam.  The boys had written exciting adventure stories and Liam‘s book has a warning on the front that it might be too sad for adults!  It is sad in places but has a happyish ending.

They are very keen authors and shared how they liked writing together.  It turns out that Liam was inspired by the other two boys as well as a trip to the zoo as his book is a tale about elephants.

Reggie has said hello to David Walliams and likes, ‘The Midnight Gang’ and Liam likes, ‘The Bolds’ by Julian Clary.

We will share the books and the writing experience in assembly and hopefully inspire a lot of Bridgewater authors to add to the collection.  Reggie explained how he loves to let his imagination run away when he’s writing.

Well done boys.
