  • 4 Milhazes - Mr Green

We are fortunate to be supported by Mrs Watts, Miss Crocker, Mrs Woodard, Mrs Montgomery, Mrs Odedra & Mrs Washington (HLTA).

You will find our curriculum information further down the page.

Anti-bullying Week

Year 4 have been focussing on Anti-bullying week this week. The children have considered the word "humble" and examined its etymology. The classes enjoyed getting to know the children in their twinned classes, retelling the "Jelly Bean with No Flavour" tale, and helping the younger children design their own jelly beans.

Harvest Mice - Year 4 perfomance

The Year 4 children have been very busy this term rehearsing for their Harvest performance.

They have really enjoyed singing, dancing, playing the drums and performing.

We are very proud of their hard work over the last few weeks. We hope that everyone who has tickets enjoys our wonderful production.

Year 4 History

In history this term the children have been building on their learning in Year 3 about Ancient Romans. We have been learning about their society and belliefs. In art we have been looking at Ancient Roman murals and mosaics.

Archeologists have discovered many examples of Roman art work in the ruins of Herculaneum and Pompei. Hurculaneum was on the opposite side of Mount Vesuvius to Pompeii, and both towns were destroyed when the volcano erupted. To find out more information check with an adult and follow the links.

Invertebrate Hunting

In Science, Year 4 have been learning about 'living things and their habitats'. Last week, we specifically learned about invertebrates and went on an invertebrate hunt around the school grounds! The children found creatures such as worms, ladybirds and spiders, then classified these into their respective sub-groups and explored usin branching diagrams.
