Canal competition

Dylan, Elliott, Arron and Marley, now in Y6, entered the Canal competition last year during STEM week and produced an amazing piece of group work designing an environment fit for a mini beast that won Bridgewater second prize.  They confidently led an assembly this week sharing the prizes that they had won.  There was a hedgehog house, bat boxes, a solar powered bug hotel, a bird box with a webcam, a robin and a wren house and a camera trap to film foxes or whatever may wander in front of the  lens.  Emily from the explorers canal and river trust brought the prizes in and explained carefully what they all were.  We are very grateful and can’t wait to see what creatures we encourage into our grounds.
