The whole school have been focusing on how we can look after our planet for Science week.

In Early Years we focused on recycling and how we can improve our learning environment.

We went outside to our entrance, playground and green area and looked at how we can improve our outdoor learning areas. We took an audit and made a list of the things that needed improving.

We also decided to eat our snacks outside now the weather has improved and put our food waste into the compost bins instead of the classroom bins.

 We also did a litter pick in all the areas to make it look better as well as make it safer for the wildlife around us.

We talked about ideas for making posters showing the ways in which we can help improve the areas outside of school and for homework we made colourful posters with our families.

It has been a lovely week of thinking about our world community and looking after our planet!
