Gruffalo character hunt

We learnt how to use a map and followed it to find the different characters from the Gruffalo Story. We learnt about aerial view (or birds eye view) and looked at the school grounds through google maps before going on our adventure. 

We hunted for the characters in order of the plot in the story and recalled what the setting was that each character lived in. E.g, the Fox lives in the underground house, the owl lives in the treeetop house and the snake lives in the log pile house. 

We had great fun learning outside again and putting the map skills we learnt inside using google maps to practical use outside!
