What a beautiful frosty week it has been! We took the children on a frosty walk around the school grounds on Monday morning to explore the effects the cold weather had on the environment around us. The children loved finding all the frosty leaves and flowers around the field and seeing how the tiny ice crystals melted in the sun and in their fingers. The children made some excellent scientific observations and recalled some of their prior learning from our Sparkle and Shine day. Well done mini Scientists!

They loved discovering that they could write and draw in the icy benches and making the frost disappear by melting the ice with their fingers!

They also had fun scooping the ice up and compacting it into mini snowballs!
