Gruffalo Hunt

On Friday the children in Reception enjoyed going outside and hunting for the characters from the Gruffalo story. Through this activity the children developed their sequencing and map reading skills.

The children also were encouraged to give accurate descriptions of where they thought they could see each character on the map and exactly where each character was found.
For example: "I can see the Gruffalo in the grass area beside the Out of school club rooms on the map." 

"I found the Owl on top of the chair next to the Year 1 playground."
