A throne fit for a queen!

To kickstart our theme, Victorious Victorians, Year 1 have been exploring different materials to make a throne for Queen Victoria. Firstly, we looked at different chairs and discussed the positives and negatives of each chair. This helped us to work out what properties we need to make a throne fit for a queen! We had lots of ideas such as it needs to sturdy, comfortable, strong and secure.

We then explored different materials to see which would be suitable for our thrones. Our next step will be to design our thrones now we have tested the materials.
