Police and firefighter visit

The Reception classes have had two amazing visits. Firstly they were visited by the police force, where they learnt about the different roles of the job and the children had the chance to sit in the police car. The children learnt about taking finger prints and the children all took their own fingerprints.

The classes were also visited by firefighters, where the children learnt about the job of a firefighter and the importance of wearing protective clothing. The children were able to try on the different proective clothing and the children asked lots of brilliant questions. The firefighters brought their fire engine to the school playground and showed the children how to use the hose to put out fires.
