Head's Blog

Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school.  I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you.  It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

Bridgewater Summer Fair 2023

Huge crowds came out on a beautiful, sunny afternoon for the Bridgewater Summer Fair.  There was a lovely atmosphere and many families past, present and our future new intake arrived to enjoy all the fun, games, timbolas, dancing, magic, sports, candy floss and ice creams.

The Friends led by their new Chair, Gemma, had been busily planning for many months and working hard to create this fabulous event and we can't thank them enough.  Friends old and new arrived with their stalls and games such as Nanny Margaret's popular craft stall, the bowls club group, the scouts, tae kwon do, therapy dogs, Pacesetters and many more. Oh and we had two amazing raffles - please collect prizes at the office if you don't have them yet and Mrs Emma Watson's delicious Bridgewater cake prize.

Miss Morley's dance school were a real treat and performed like professionals to great applause and a super magician entertained all afternoon in the hall with his magic tricks which had us spellbound.

There were lots of tempting foods everywhere and many were home made!  I'm sure the Friends have made a small fortune for the lucky children of Bridgewater and we shall have to think of something very special that the Friends can purchase for all the children.

Thank you again to everyone who helped including all the Friends and family members who were roped in, staff who ran games and all the stall holders, entertainers and Lauren, our AMEY caretaker.

Thank you for coming and you may be tempted to join the Friends next year??? 😉
