As Autumn is now in full swing we have been appreciating the last of the warm weather and engaging in some lovely autumn activities.
We’ve been focusing on our physical development in our outdoor area. Whether that’s obstacle courses or practicing our upper body strength on the monkey bars. As we have been spending lots of time outside we’ve also been having many conversations about the changing of the seasons, the fact the colours of the leaves are changing, what different animals we are seeing this time of year and the children have been bringing lots of conkers into nursery for us to look at.
Our rhyme town has been ‘The wheels on the bus.’ So we’ve been practicing our pre-writing shape and enjoying singing the songs and doing the actions. Our next fortnightly focus is ‘Five Current Buns’ and the pre-writing shape is a circle.
Next week we are going on an Autumn Walk around the school grounds to collect some beautiful and interesting leaves.
