Our Rhyme Town focus has been 'Miss Polly had a Dolly' and 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes' and our pre-writing shape is a cross.
With Rhyme Town in mind we created a doctors surgery in our role play area. The children have loved dressing up and making sure all of the teddy bears in the nursery are fit and healthy. Due to this we have been talking a lot about our bodies and enjoying singing our other rhyme, 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.'
Our pre-writing shape is a cross. The children have been using the clevertouch to practise using the pens to 'go down and across.'

Following the childrens interest in Halloween we had fun printing bubbles in cauldrons and exploring some sensory experiences with jelly! The children enjoyed exploring the different texture of the jelly and popping the bubbles on their cauldron paintings.

After half term our new bi-weekly Rhyme Town is 'Incy Wincy Spider' and 'Rain, Rain, Go Away.'
Have a lovely half term break everyone!
