We have been looking at life cycles at nursery this week. Specifically frogs and caterpillars! 

A few weeks ago we had some tadpoles come to visit us at nursery. We started to notice that nearly all of them had turned into little frogs (froglets). The children have really enjoyed watching them grow and were facscinated by the change. We decided it was time to take them down to the swale to set them free. Whilst we were at the swale we had lots of conversations about what other wildlife we could see and we even spotted a dragonfly! This was the childrens first time exploring the swale and they loved it.

At the beginning of the week we had some new visitors come to stay with us at nursery... Caterpillars! They are very tiny at the moment so watch this space to see them grow!
