Group A's First Week at Bridgewater Primary

We would like to say a big warm welcome to our wonderful 'Group A' Reception Class children and families who started their learning journey at Bridgewater last week. We have been so proud of how well the children have settled into their new routines as they have begun to explore the continuous provision areas and make new friends.

The children had a busy, fun filled week building castles and pirate ships, climbing, drawing and painting, sharing stories, riding the bikes and playing ball games. Some children even discovered runner beans to collect from our bean pods in the garden and made bean soup in the mud kitchen. The children started their phonic sessions learning their first few letter sounds m, a ,t , i, s and learnt to build and read their very first words. To end the week we had an enjoyable trip to the school library where the children chose their first library books to take home to share with our families.

We look forward to welcoming the children back into school after the weekend.
