Dear Parents

Easter Production

The Easter Production by Year 5 was enchanting. There were many beautiful and some moving individual songs alongside rousing whole group performances. The children performed with confidence and shared the Easter story with clarity. It never ceases to amaze me the quality that young children can achieve guided by their skilful and talented staff led by Mrs Hallett.

Easter Egg and Foodbank Donations

Thank you very much for your kind donations of Easter Eggs on Non-Uniform Day last week. Jeanette collected a huge amount of eggs on Monday that will be distributed to dis-advantaged children, children in care and the Leaving Care teams across Northamptonshire. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

Another thank you for your donations that will be delivered to the local foodbank, St James Three Pillars.

Fake Tik Tok Account

We have had a case that we have unpicked today in Year 6, where it is likely that a fake account was set up implicating another child on Tik Tok. The children were smart enough to take screen shots and inform their parents and school teachers.  The language was vile, threatening and racist and is considered a hate crime and as such will be forwarded to the police to deal with. It was so offensive that five messages were intercepted and deleted by the online global security team.

Please be vigilant over the Easter break and make sure the children don’t engage in anything suspicious. Hopefully they can get outside into the sunshine.

Year 3 Strings Performance

On Thursday afternoon we were treated to the Year 3 Strings performance after 10 weeks of tuition from Mr Ebrahim and Ms Meads from NMPAT. All three classes impressed us and had been inspired by their teachers to perform with panache. They were excellent and all looked like they were having great fun with their teachers who were funny and engaging. I hope many continue and take up a stringed instrument in the future.

Active Assembly

Year 5 Young Leaders planned and led a whole school ‘Active Assembly’, about the children all coming to school by foot, bike or scooter. They suggested that the families could park near the park so that the children can get some exercise on the way into school. They made a PowerPoint and showed us a film and also suggested a poster competition about being more active. The Young Leaders all spoke with clarity and confidence; we are so lucky to have such a great group of children to inspire others.

We look forward to seeing you back in school on Tuesday 14th of April.

Have a lovely Easter break.

Alison Harvey
