Dear Parents
Welcome Back
Welcome back after a lovely hot summer. The children were fabulous yesterday settling quickly and sharing their news.
A big welcome to our new nursery starters and their families. At the moment we are awaiting a start date to rebuild the nursery and hopefully it will come through soon. Thank you to the amazing nursery staff who have created an exciting temporary new home in the nurture room and all our nursery families for bearing with us.
We are looking forward to welcoming group A to school in Reception next week and group B in the second week and have enjoyed visiting and meeting the children and families in their homes this week and before the summer holidays.
Smartphone Free School
Last year we introduced our Smart Phone Free school policy which has impacted positively on behaviour on the Green before and after school and at play times. There were far less incidents that we dealt with overall last year in school.
Mrs Redden will be sending out the Online Safety Newsletters again this year which often mention Roblox. The following clip caught my eye and shares a powerful message about the hidden dangers however vigilant you may be as parents putting locks in place. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcyZwxjmR9v/
To support our safeguarding procedures, we ask that mobile phones are not used anywhere on the school site, including school grounds. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us keep our children safe.
Parent Tours
Please look at the website for parent tour dates and times, where you can sign up for a visit if you have a child who will be starting school in September 2027. The tours start next week.
Have a lovely weekend
Alison Harvey
