Dear Parents
We are a Nut Free School
As you know we are a strictly nut free school and children and adults should not bring foodstuffs into school such as Nutella, and other products containing nut.
We also need to make it clear that no creams, lotions or lip balms can come into school as we have had a child with a reaction to coconut this week. Please be mindful as it can cause severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reactions in some people.
We ask for your full cooperation in keeping our school environment safe for everyone.
‘The Bridgewater Friends’ Coffee Morning
Thank you to Gemma, (Chairperson) and ‘The Friends’ for organising a coffee morning for the New Intake parents on Monday. It was a lovely, relaxed opportunity to meet, chat and make new connections.
Parking and PCSO Support
We are grateful to the PCSO’s who called in to school this week as they had made a visit to the local area and recommended that parents do not park on kerbs or corners of roads, obscuring vision and access. They noted the congestion in Ellis Way and Trinity Road can be unsafe and could prevent emergency vehicles from getting through. To help keep everyone safe, they will be making occasional visits in the future.
Website Pictures
On Wednesday, our school photographer captured some wonderful, natural photos of the children (with parental permission). These will soon be added to the school website and we look forward to sharing them with you.
Upper Phase, ‘Inspire Building’ Drop In
Next Tuesday, 30th September, from 3:30pm - 5:00pm, parents and carers of children in Years 4, 5, and 6 are warmly invited to visit the Inspire Building and meet their child’s teachers. As these year groups enter independently via the slope, parents don’t often have the same chance to meet staff at the door. We hope this drop-in session will be a valuable opportunity for everyone.
Early Years Literacy Information Evening
On Thursday, 2nd October, our Reception Team will be holding a Literacy Information Evening for families new to the school. This is always a supportive and very helpful session and we encourage you to come along if you can.
Have a lovely weekend
Alison Harvey
