Dear Parents
Could you spare some time to support the Friends?
What a lovely turnout we had for the Friends Coffee Morning on Monday! It was fantastic to welcome so many new parents, and we hope you enjoyed meeting one another, making new connections and getting to know Claire, Chair of the Friends Association, and members of the Friends team.
Perhaps we also inspired a few of you to get involved! The Friends are always delighted to welcome new volunteers, and there’s no expectation of a huge commitment. Every helping hand counts.
Our Christmas Fair is one of the highlights of the school year, but it takes lots of people working together to make it such a success. Whether you can spare a little time or a lot, your support would be genuinely valued and will help make the day extra special for our children and families.
Making the most of our amazing grounds!
The children have been having a fantastic time making the most of the whole field this week, with plenty of sports, games, climbing and imaginative play.
We’re so grateful for our wonderful outdoor spaces and to the Friends Association, whose fundraising has helped provide our outdoor classrooms, gym equipment, climbing walls and frames. They are enjoyed by our children day after day and have certainly been getting lots of use this week!
One Way System
Please can any new parents remember to use the one-way system around school to help the flow and relieve congestion near the gates.
Year 6 Residential
It’s that time of year when Year 6 will be off to Osmington Bay next week with their friends for a wonderful action packed residential experience. We hope the weather holds out and you make some fantastic memories.
Safety Message
Please make sure the children are supervised around the site during pick up and drop off, as a car had to put its brakes on hard this week when a small child shot out onto the road on a scooter. Please ensure that you drive slowly and with due care and attention in and around the site at all times. Thank you
New Nursery
You may have seen the purple screens going up around the Nursery this week as our exciting transformation begins! Steve and the team have made a brilliant start, with the services disconnected and the internal plasterboard already removed. Things are moving quickly, and we can’t wait to watch the new space take shape.
A Winning Bridgewater Writer!
Well done to Jackson in Year 3, who wrote a paragraph about his favourite book, The Gruffalo for a competition. He was a runner up and won the school an amazing £100 voucher from T G Jones! He can help Mrs Tasher to choose some super books next week.
Have a lovely weekend
Alison Harvey
